• All Bolzoni Auramo contact pads have the following properties in common:
• Thin pad design. The minimized pad thickness ensures good knifing properties when handling tightly stacked rolls.
• Well-rounded, smooth pad profile and safe finish. The pads have no protruding parts or edges to damage the adjacent paper rolls.
• Safe finish. All sharp edges have been carefully removed.
• Steering front edge. The friction surface has a special form, which steers the pad easier around the roll.
• Smooth wear strips on short arm side. Added safety margin against inevitable tear and wear against the floor.
• Pad radius suitable for the roll diameter.
• Well protected hinge system.
• Positioning springs to keep the pads straight in relation to the roll. Less damage to pads and paper rolls.
• Pull rods to prevent the contact pad from turning too much. Less damage to the pads and loads.
• Contact pad friction surfaces: Contact pads are equipped with a wide variety of friction surfaces. The application, customer requirements and paper and wrapper type define the required friction surface. The most common friction surfaces are:
